You ever heard of WILL? Until yesterday evening, I hadn’t.

Different Will, same principle

But indeed, yesterday evening I was introduced via Twitter to the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, which is behind a brand-spanking new lawsuit against the Biden Administration’s student loan forgiveness program. And I kid you not… they’re literally suing because the program addresses the racial wealth gap.

They actually said it out loud. They’re not even pretending anymore.

Twitter

This is basically it, and is coming at an interesting time when the Supreme Court is hearing (and apparently about to uphold) Alabama’s openly racist redistricting plan that’s intended as an open slap in the face to the Voting Rights Act.

In what’s becoming an increasingly effective play in the conservative offense, the argument is being made that the constitution is and has always intended to be race neutral, and that anything that explicitly helps any group of people is both unconstitutional and un-American… including things codified into law explicitly designed to undo the consequences of centuries of racial injustice.
